20.03.2010 Website Launch

We are more than excited to launch our new dynamic and interactive website supported by a Content Management System. The Website took 6 months from Conceptualization to the Launch.

The team behind this “Labour of Love” is made up of group members who are also professionals in the field of Web Design and Development and all of them have gone through the prestigious NairoBits School of Digital Design School and graduated with first class honours. Basically, the website is mainly meant and designed to send out information about our group and also our community.

We hope you will all enjoy it and if you feel that there is something we could do to better it, feel free to let us know asap!
For now, enjoy it!

15th Feb, 2010 Ole Vig Videregaende Skole (Norway) Visit.

Ole Vig is High School from Norway specializing in Media and related studies. The group was made up of around 25 members both students and members of staff.

Along they came with presents from Norway most notably a book from the local Ma yor entitled “Fra Fjord til Fjell” translated “From Fjords to Mountains”. This was a special gesture as to how they value our friendship and our work as well. In contrast, we have never gotten any recognition from our councillor leave alone the mayor.

The day started well with all the parties ready at the agreed time. We proceeded with briefing and introduction and then we hit the road to see the slum. After around an hour or so, we came back to our office where all the persons interested in participating in a friendly football match changed into the right gear. The game was fantaboulous and the Norwegian team took the day by 4 goals to 2.
This was sweet revenge as the last time they were here two years ago they lost 3 – 1.

They say that all that starts well ends well and this was the case here. Ole Vig enjoyed, we enjoyed, and finally it was a wrap.

Thanks to Annikken and Anthony Matheng’e for their friendship that has led to this partnership. We hope this trend will continue unabated.
